Membership is open to anyone who lives, works, worships, or attends school in San Francisco, San Mateo, Sacramento, Sutter, or Yuba counties. We also welcome family members of current members and employees of select employer groups.
As a not-for-profit credit union, we return profits to our members in the form of better rates, lower fees, and improved services. Our focus is on serving our members rather than maximizing profits for shareholders. We're also a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI), which means we're specifically focused on serving low-to-moderate income communities.
The LIFE program is available to members who meet low-income guidelines (typically below 80% of area median income). You'll need to provide documentation of income when applying. Once enrolled, you'll have access to special savings programs, lower loan rates, and financial coaching services.
We provide services in English, Spanish, and Chinese (both Cantonese and Mandarin). Many of our financial education materials are available in all three languages, and we have staff members who are fluent in each language at our branches.
